If you want to lock or freeze your Social Security number from being used for new credit, you usually do that by placing a credit freeze (or fraud alert) with the three major credit bureaus. This prevents lenders from opening new accounts using your SSN unless you unlock it.

The IRS has announced that it will begin accepting and processing 2024 tax returns on January 27, 2025.

While you can prepare your return early, the IRS will not process submissions until the official start date. The deadline to file your 2024 tax return is April 15, 2025.

BUSINESS OWNERS!!

BOI filing for ALL LLCs!!! Every LLC created in the USA will have to file a BOI report unless it qualifies for an exemption.

If a reporting company already exists as of January 1, 2024, it must file its initial BOIR by January 1, 2025. If a reporting company is created or registered to do business in the United States on or after January 1, 2024 and before January 1, 2025, it must file its initial
BOIR within 90 days after receiving actual or public notice that its creation or registration is effective.

NOW WHAT THEY SAY WHICH IM NOT SURE IS TRUE IS "Businesses not complying with beneficial ownership information reporting requirements can face stiff penalties. Any company that fails to file a required beneficial ownership report or amendment by its filing deadline is subject to a fine of $500 per day, up to a maximum of $10,000!!!!"

TAX NEWS!! MORE TIME TO FILE YOUR RETURNS!

Currently, taxpayers in the entire states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, and parts of Tennessee and Virginia, who received extensions to file their 2023 returns have until May 1, 2025, to file. Tax-year 2023 tax payments are not eligible for this extension. In addition, May 1 is also the deadline for filing 2024 returns and paying any tax due.
