These are very crazy and unknown times. So I’m going to put this out there. First of all yes the IRS has extended the tax deadline to file and pay your 2019 taxes until July 15th. The Ohio and most of the Ohio cities have followed suit. As most of you know the government has approved the stimulus package.
So now the scams start. Please be diligent and remember the IRS will not call you. Do not under any circumstances give anyone your personal information over the phone. If you have filed a tax return in 2018 and/or 2019 they will have all the information they need. If you did not have any income or have to file a return in 2019 you can still file a return with no income to qualify for the stimulus package. Be careful there are some low life people who are scammers and have no conscious. Please keep an eye on your elderly parents they will be unaware of these low life people and unwilling give information to people.
Do No cash any checks that you have no idea where they came from. Check with your bank if you are unsure. If we can help you in any way please contact us.
