That's exactly why we do what we do.

When Angela came to Paxus, she needed more than just someone to enter transactions — she needed a team she could trust to get it right, respond quickly, and help her make confident decisions for her business. That's what we show up to do every single day.

Thank you, Angela, for the kind words and for trusting us with your business. Reviews like this mean everything to our team! 💜

Managing restricted vs. unrestricted funds is one of the trickiest parts of non-profit accounting. If your reports don't clearly separate them, you could run into trouble with donors and auditors. We help non-profits get this right from the start.

TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Getting to Know Jenny Phan

This month we're celebrating our newest intern, Jenny Phan, as she wraps up her undergraduate career and heads into the next chapter.
Jenny is graduating with a degree in Accounting and a minor in Management Information Systems from OU, and she's been a wonderful addition to our team.

When we asked what she's learned most during her college experience, Jenny shared something worth passing along:

"Take care of yourself and have great friends around you."

Jenny plans to continue her education at OU, graduate with her master's degree next year, and earn her CPA license as soon as possible.

We're proud of you, Jenny. Best of luck in everything ahead.

How much cash reserve does your business actually need?

A good rule of thumb: 3 to 6 months of operating expenses sitting in reserve. That means if it costs $20,000 a month to run your business, you should have $60,000 to $120,000 set aside before you need it.

Why does it matter? — Covers payroll and fixed expenses if revenue slows — Protects you from a single bad month becoming a crisis — Gives you the confidence to make strategic decisions without panic.

Most business owners don't think about cash reserves until they need them. By then, it's too late to build one.

Not sure where you stand? Start by knowing your monthly operating expenses. Your books should tell you that number clearly. If they don't, that's a conversation worth having.

Americans lost over $20 BILLION to fraud last year — and AI-powered scams are a big reason why. Phishing emails, fake voice calls, and investment scams are getting harder to spot every day.

This is exactly why we're so intentional about how we handle your financial data at Paxus. Security isn't just a checkbox — it's baked into everything we do.

Why every Paxus client has a Team of Three:

Most bookkeeping firms give you one contact. We give you three — a staff accountant, a lead, and a controller — all dedicated to your business. Here's why that structure matters and what it means for you.

Your staff accountant handles the day-to-day data entry and transaction coding.
Your lead accountant reviews the work for accuracy and keeps everything on track.
Your controller brings the analysis and big-picture perspective to make sure your numbers are telling the right story.

That means built-in checks and balances at every level — not just one set of eyes on your books.
And when someone is out of the office? You'll barely notice. Because your books are always being tended to and there's always someone on your team who knows your business and can answer your questions.
One team. Three layers of expertise. Zero gaps.
