As we reach the final day of this series and celebrate 6 years in business, I wanted to leave you with the lesson that means the most to me.

Business Gem #19: The Goal Isn’t Just to Make Money. It’s to Build Something That Lasts.

Anybody can have a good month.

The real challenge is creating something that still exists years later.

Six years ago, during COVID, I started a business with more faith than certainty. I didn’t have all the answers. I didn’t have a perfect plan. What I did have was a vision, a willingness to work, and faith that if I stayed committed, God would handle the rest.

If I would’ve waited until everything was perfect, I probably would’ve never started.

Over the years, I’ve learned that building a business isn’t just about revenue. It’s about impact. It’s about serving people. It’s about creating opportunities. It’s about leaving something behind that’s bigger than yourself.

There were challenges.
There were setbacks.
There were sacrifices.

But there were also lessons, growth, relationships, and victories that made it all worth it.

As I celebrate six years in business, I’m reminded that success isn’t measured by one good season. It’s measured by what you’re able to build, sustain, and continue growing over time.

Thank you to every client, supporter, team member, family member, and friend who has been part of this journey.

As we continue counting down to 6 years in business on June 19th, here’s a lesson that social media doesn’t always show.

Business Gem #18: Success Takes Longer Than Social Media Makes It Look

People see Year 6.

They don’t see Year 1.

They don’t see the long nights, the uncertainty, the mistakes, the sacrifices, or the moments when you questioned whether any of it was going to work.

Social media often highlights the results, but rarely the journey.

People see the office, the growth, the accomplishments, and the milestones. What they don’t always see are the years of hard work that happened behind the scenes.

I’ve learned that success takes time.

It takes consistency.
It takes patience.
It takes resilience.
And sometimes it takes continuing to show up when there are very few signs that things are working.

Don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle or ending.

Stay focused on your own journey and trust your process.

The timeline may look different for everyone, but progress is still progress.

People see Year 6. They don’t see Year 1. Keep building anyway.

As we continue counting down to 6 years in business on June 19th, here’s a lesson that helped me make it through some of the toughest seasons.

Business Gem #17: Every Setback Isn’t a Sign to Quit

One thing I’ve learned as a business owner is that not every setback means you’re headed in the wrong direction.

There have been times when I thought I was taking a loss, only to realize later that I was learning a lesson.

I’ve lost opportunities.
I’ve made mistakes.
I’ve trusted the wrong people.
I’ve had plans not work out the way I expected.

But looking back, many of those moments helped shape the business owner and leader I am today.

The truth is, growth doesn’t just come from wins. Some of your greatest growth comes from challenges, disappointments, and situations that force you to adapt.

What feels like a setback today may be preparing you for something greater tomorrow.

The key is to keep going.

Learn the lesson. Make the adjustment. Trust the process.

Some of the things that looked like losses ended up being lessons that made me better.
