A little good news from the office!
We’re proud to share that three more members of our team have officially received their Michigan notary commissions!
Congratulations to Kevin, Kelsi, and Kathy!
We’ve always offered notary services at Balanced Accounting & Tax Services, but now that we have additional notaries available at the front desk, it should be easier to accommodate your notary needs without having to track down someone in the back who may be buried in tax returns or bookkeeping. (Imagine that!)
We’re also exploring whether there might be a need for mobile notary services at local nursing homes and assisted living facilities for residents who need documents notarized but have difficulty traveling.
Would this be a helpful service for your family or organization? If you work at one of these facilities, have a family member living in one, or know someone who could benefit, we’d love to hear from you in the comments!
As always, feel free to contact our office with questions about notary services.

We’ve got a new addition to the office! 😊

Our new “Meet Our Staff” display is officially up in the breezeway! 😊 I had fun putting this one together, from building the shelves to making the sign and name tags.

So often, our clients don’t get to see all the faces behind the scenes. Now they can put a face with a name when they visit the office!

We’re pretty happy with how it turned out!

We’re proud to support Bucktown Sports Club as they work to build something special for young athletes in the Buchanan area.

Their first tryout was held yesterday, with a second tryout coming up on September 10th. Both dates are optional, but players are encouraged to attend.

We love what they’re emphasizing beyond just basketball — focus, attitude, coachability and effort — and we’re excited to see this program get started.

Good luck on an amazing season!

Still waiting on your Michigan state refund? You're not alone — a new Treasury processing system has caused delays for taxpayers across the state this year.

We found our local state representative's email and reached out in hopes of some insight. Their office got back to us and said we could refer clients to them directly.

To contact Rep. Paquette's office yourself: email [email protected] or call (517) 373-1793 with your Name, Address, Phone Number, Email, last 4 of your Social Security number, and Letter ID/Account # (if applicable).

If you'd rather have us reach out on your behalf, we'll need you to sign a Michigan Power of Attorney (Form 151) first. Contact our office to get that started.

You can also request a callback directly from Treasury: https://www.michigan.gov/taxes/helpcenter/portals/citizen/send-web-message-or-request-a-callback

Contact our office with any questions.
