Georgia’s 2026 Tax Rate Dropped!

Georgia taxpayers, don’t use last year’s figures when estimating your 2026 state taxes. For tax year 2026, Georgia’s individual income-tax rate is a flat 4.99%. The state standard deduction also increased to $15,000 for Single, Head of Household and Married Filing Separately taxpayers, and $30,000 for Married Filing Jointly taxpayers.

These changes do not guarantee a refund. Your final result still depends on taxable income, credits, adjustments, payments and Georgia withholding. Save your final paystubs and review state withholding before year-end.
