When you retire, one steady paycheck is replaced by a mix of sources:

Social Security, pensions, retirement accounts, and savings. Each one comes with its own timing, tax rules, and decisions.

A written income plan helps you know:
• What’s coming in each month
• Which accounts to draw from first
• How to adjust as life changes

Claiming Social Security at 62 could mean a smaller monthly benefit for life. Waiting until full retirement age, or as late as 70, could mean a larger check but fewer years of collecting.

So, which is better? It depends on:
• Your health and family longevity
• Your other income sources
• Your spouse’s benefits
• Whether you plan to keep working

The best timing is the one that fits your full retirement plan. Want to talk through your options?

Two retirement accounts, two very different tax approaches:

• Traditional IRA: contributions may be tax-deductible today, and withdrawals are taxed in retirement.
• Roth IRA: contributions go in after taxes, and qualified withdrawals can come out tax-free.

Some people also consider converting Traditional IRA dollars to a Roth.

Whether that makes sense depends on your current tax bracket, your expected taxes in retirement, and your plans for leaving money to family.

Not sure which direction fits you?

A few small changes can add up more than you'd think.

Packing lunch a couple days a week, canceling a subscription you forgot about, or setting up an automatic transfer the day you get paid can quietly build momentum over time.

None of these habits require a big overhaul, just a little consistency.

Curious how small changes could fit into your bigger financial picture?

You worked hard to build your retirement savings.

Now it's time to make sure those savings are positioned to support the life you've envisioned.

A successful retirement isn't just about reaching a number, it's about having a thoughtful plan for generating income, managing taxes, preparing for healthcare costs, and adapting as life changes.

A written retirement plan can help bring confidence to the decisions you make today and the years ahead.

A Roth conversion means moving money from a traditional retirement account into a Roth IRA.

You pay tax on the amount now, and qualified withdrawals in retirement come out tax free after that.

It's not the right move for everyone, but it's worth understanding how it works and whether it fits into your bigger plan.

College costs keep climbing, and knowing your options can take a lot of the guesswork out of saving.

Here's a quick look at two of the most common education savings tools:

529 plans offer tax-advantaged growth, typically allow higher contribution limits, and can be used for K-12 tuition, college costs, and even certain apprenticeship programs.

Coverdell accounts cap out at $2,000 per year per child but offer more flexibility for a wider range of K-12 expenses beyond tuition.

Not sure which one fits your family? Let's talk through your options.

When was the last time you checked in on your retirement plan?

Here are three signs it may be time:

• You recently changed jobs or had another major life change.
• Retirement and Social Security are no longer ”way off in the future.”
• You can't remember the last time you reviewed your financial plan.

Your retirement strategy should evolve as your life does. A periodic review can help ensure your savings, investments, and goals are still aligned.
