The IRS will begin issuing a monthly advance on the child tax credit (normally claimed on your tax return) effective July 15th. For more information and to OPT OUT of the monthly advance, use the following link. If you opt out of the advance, the credit (if you are eligible) will be claimed as normal on your 2021 tax return.
