If you need to apply for your child's passport without the other parent or has sole custody of the minor, you must complete the Form DS-3053: Statement of Consent or Special Circumstance for Minor's Passport.

Know the requirements to request this declaration:

✅ You must obtain a witness and notarize the document.

✅ You are a non-applying parent or guardian who provides written consent for a US citizen minor child to apply for a US passport because you cannot appear in person with your child (Declaration of Consent), or

✅ You are an applicant parent or guardian and the written consent of a non-applicant parent or guardian.

N-400 para la Naturalización, es un formulario del gobierno utilizado para las titulares de la residencia americana permanente y estan listos para aplicar por la ciudadania luego de cumplir con todos los requisitos elegibles.

Estos son algunos de los tips que ofrece la USCIS al momento de llenar el formulario:

Leer rigurosamente las instrucciones que muestra el formulario.

El formulario puede ser llenado online o de forma manual. Si lo hace a través de la web, toda la Información que coloque sera guardada en el código de barra que aparece en la parte inferior de la pagina. En caso de ser manual, deberá rellenar con lapicero de tinta Negra.

NO resalte ni tache el formulario y tampoco escribe fuera de los espacios en blanco provistos para su respuesta.

NO agujerar, grapar, escribir o dañar de cualquier forma el código de barra.

En caso de no poder contestar algunas de las preguntas del formulario, ya que no tiene la información o desconoce la respuesta, en una hoja adicional deberá dar una explicación sobre la misma.

La solicitud enviada deberá de tener su firma original, no foto copias ni firmas digital.

A Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) certifies that your child is a United States citizen at birth. However, it is not proof of identity of the minor's legal parents.

This certificate is issued to children born abroad who acquired their naturalization at birth and are under 18 years of age.

US citizens who have a child abroad should notify the nearest U.S.consulate or embassy of the birth so that they can issue a CRBA and you can claim US nationality or citizenship for your child.

You can apply to obtain the certificate through Form DS-2029, which you can fill out online or physically.
