I work in the Accounting & Tax department of Roth & Company LLP, the largest Accounting Firm in Brooklyn. I have been given the framework to be able to grow in my tax expertise even as the tax laws keep changing. I am provided constant guidance from senior managers and tax reviewers who are reviewing my work, as well as continuing professional education from seminars within my firm to keep me up t
o date with the latest tax laws. Roth & Company has given me experience with a large range of accounting & tax areas due to the variety of clients that they serve. This has helped me get familiar with many interesting tax situations, some of which I may not have learnt had I been working on my own. Previously I worked at a firm in Manhattan, Weiss & Company LLP, which was my first step into public accounting. I also have been involved in private accounting, working in a financial/bookkeeping office as an assistant to the comptroller. I graduated with an Accounting degree from Touro College, and then went on to pass the CPA exam which enabled me to pursue a career in public accounting.
