Did you know? Starting after September 30, 2025, the IRS will no longer issue paper refund checks for most taxpayers; refunds will be delivered electronically via direct deposit, prepaid debit card, or similar method.

⁉️ What to Do If You Haven't Received Your NY Inflation Check

If you believe you were eligible for a check but have not received one, or if you need to update your address, you should contact the Department of Taxation and Finance directly.

Contact Number: Call the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance at 518-457-5181.

Have your 2023 tax return handy as the representative will ask for information from it to verify your eligibility and status.

Beware of scams: There is no application process for this refund and you do not need to pay a fee. Any text messages or calls asking for personal information or payment to receive your check are likely scams.
