Majestyk Apps LLC, a New York City based web and mobile app developer and client of Shahmoon & Ellisen LLP, is one of three winners of IBM's Watson Mobile Developer Challenge. Majestyk's winning application, named Fang (Friendly Anthropomorphic Networked Genome), is an artificially intelligent, cuddly plush toy for children which, powered by Watson's supercomputing capabilities, adapts over time to grow with each individual child.

Reuters reports that the chairmen of the US Senate Banking Committee have outlined proposals to wind-down Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and replace them with a new mortgage guarantor entity, to be called the Federal Mortgage Insurance Corp.
