This space has supported our work—and so many others.

The Neo Jazz Cultural Center is more than a venue.
It’s a place where relationships are built, ideas take shape, and community comes together.

We’re proud to be part of the ecosystem that calls this space home.

Now we’re supporting the Build the Community Campaign to help sustain and secure it for the future.

We invite you to support if you can—and join us May 5.

I’m excited to formally share that TMH Financial Services has rebranded to TMH Solutions Hub.

This evolution reflects a deeper truth I’ve seen in my work with cooperatives, nonprofits, and community-based organizations:

Financial systems alone are not enough.

Organizations need integrated systems, strategic guidance, and financial education to operate sustainably and equitably.

TMH Solutions Hub is designed to meet that need by focusing on:
• People-centered financial and operational systems
• Strategic planning and organizational development
• Education that builds internal capacity and confidence

This shift allows me to more fully support organizations in moving from compliance → to clarity → to long-term sustainability.

If you’re building within the cooperative or social impact ecosystem, I’d love to connect.

Brighton, Alabama wasn’t just built on coal and iron.

It was sustained by us.

In the shadow of the Woodward Iron Company, our ancestors built churches, burial funds, and mutual aid systems that carried our community through.

That’s Black history.
That’s cooperative economics.
That’s Brighton.

If you’re from Brighton or the Birmingham area, this one is for you ❤️

Honored to be recognized by Cooperation Works 💛

Black cooperatives are not new—they are ancestral. From formerly enslaved people building community to today’s cooperatives owning neighborhood development, this work is about self-determination, collaboration, and collective care.

I’m grateful to be building a cooperative ecosystem that centers workers, culture, and liberation—alongside Cooperation New Orleans, Cooperation Works, and cooperators across the country.

The vision is clear: communities meeting our needs through cooperatively owned enterprises.
The work continues. ✨

Today, we celebrate co-founder of Cooperation New Orleans and CW Board President, Tamah Yisrael. She has worked tirelessly to serve her immediate community in New Orleans and the larger national cooperative community through training and education, critical financial services, mutual aid, and movement-building. In New Orleans, she's helping to build a vibrant cooperative ecosystem that centers workers. She and the Cooperation NOLA team have created the Black Liberation Cooperative Academy that connects the cultural histories of cooperative economics with Black liberation and builds knowledgeable cooperators ready to operate in a new system. As Board President, her vision and drive are helping to ensure CW serves all cooperators and communities in equitable ways.

Thank you for your leadership, Tamah!

I'm excited to share more on the journey we call "Takin It Back" but before we get into it I need you to subscribe to my YouTube channel and follow my social platforms. That is where you can join me on this journey. Here is a little information about the journey.

I’m excited to begin sharing more about the journey we call Takin It Back.
But before we go any deeper, I need you to subscribe to my YouTube channel and follow me across my social platforms—that’s where this journey truly unfolds, in real time and in community.

Takin It Back is about reclaiming what was never meant to be outsourced:
our energy, our stories, our labor, our culture, and our collective power.

Through this journey, I explore cooperation as a way of life, culture as a living practice, community as an economic force, and sovereignty as something we build together—spiritually, creatively, and materially. This is personal growth rooted in collective liberation.

This isn’t just content.
It’s a remembering.
A re-alignment.
A return.
Join me.

Moving forward, I’m aligning my energy with purpose — and I’m inviting you to do the same.

I’m Tamah Yisrael, and we’re collectively taking it back — reclaiming our power, our purpose, and our energy for spiritual growth and collective liberation. ✨

Through Takin It Back, I’ll be sharing stories and strategies that connect personal growth, art & culture organizing, cooperatives, mutualism, and economic freedom.

For too long, we’ve depended on external forces that disconnect us from our source. It’s time to take that energy back — to build our own systems of balance, creativity, and liberation.

Let’s take it back, together. 💫Like, comment and subscribe.

Behind the very technical role some see me in, is arts and culture organizing. I’ve been deeply engaged in arts based programs since 2009 and I’m grateful to giving some energy to that work in today’s panel discussion.

Building Black Arts and Cultural Cooperatives: Creativity, Ownership, and Community Power October 30th 2025, 6-8 PM EST

This webinar will explore how Black artists are reclaiming cultural power and economic autonomy through cooperatives. We’ll dive into successful models of art and cultural cooperatives, how they empower creatives through collective ownership, and how they serve as vital tools for preserving cultural heritage, resisting displacement, and building sustainable artistic careers. Focus on artists, musicians, and cultural workers using cooperative models to sustain their work and resist gentrification.

This year’s Up & Coming Food Co-op Conference was powerful and deeply impactful. I’m always grateful for the connection, learning, and camaraderie that Black Led Day creates—it’s truly a space of vision and solidarity. The theme of Co-creating the Future was alive in every conversation, session, and collaboration. Much respect to the FCI team and all the supporters for holding space to help us carefully recalibrate and strengthen the cooperative movement—one community at a time.
