📌 TRANSCRIPT UPDATE POLICY – PLEASE READ

I love all of my clients, but I cannot respond to individual transcript code questions unless action is required.

Here’s what the common codes mean:

• 150 – Return processed and tax assessed
• 766 / 768 – Credits applied (Child Tax Credit / EIC, etc.)
• 846 – Refund issued (this is the one everyone is waiting on)

If you do NOT see code 846 yet, it simply means your refund has not been released.

Now let’s address the one that causes anxiety:

• 570 – Additional account action pending

Code 570 does NOT automatically mean something is wrong.

It can mean:
– The IRS is reviewing income or credits
– A timing hold (common during PATH season)
– System verification
– Possible offset review
– Random review

Most 570 codes resolve on their own within a couple of weeks.

If additional information is needed, the IRS will send a letter. Until then, there is nothing to submit and nothing for us to “fix.”

Please understand:
Checking transcripts daily does not speed up processing.

If your return requires action, I will absolutely guide you.
If no letter has been issued and no 846 is posted yet, it is simply processing.

I appreciate you all, but I cannot respond to individual transcript screenshots unless there is a letter or a specific issue that requires professional intervention.

Let’s allow the system to work.

🚨 PATH ACT UPDATE 🚨

The PATH hold has officially lifted 🎉

If you claimed EITC or ACTC, the IRS can now begin releasing those refunds.

Now let’s clear something up because this is where people get confused 👇🏽

📌 When you filed does NOT determine when you will get your deposit date.
The IRS processes MILLIONS of returns.
Your refund date is based on when YOUR return gets processed in their system — not the day you filed.

They release refunds in batches.

So if your friend already got a date and you filed before them… that does NOT mean something is wrong.

Another important reminder:

If it has NOT been 21 days since the PATH Act lifted, there is no reason to panic.

The IRS still has up to 21 days to process most electronically filed returns once they start releasing them.

What you should be doing:
✔ Check “Where’s My Refund” on IRS.gov
✔ Or use the IRS2Go app
✔ Have your filing status, exact refund amount, and SSN ready

Once it says APPROVED with a deposit date — that’s when your money is coming.

Until then… it’s just processing.

Be patient.
Stop comparing timelines.

Federal Refund (IRS)

You can check your federal refund in one of two ways:

Option 1: Download the IRS2Go App
Available in the App Store or Google Play.

Option 2: IRS Website – Where’s My Refund
👉 https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund

You will need the following information:
• Your filing status
• Your exact federal refund amount
• Your Social Security number

👉 All of this information can be found on your tax return.
If you don’t see it in the quote text message from me, check your email and search “taxstatusnow ” to locate your copy of your return . I dont remember your info everything can be found on your return.

That is the only way to check the status of your IRS refund.

PATH Act Notice:
If you claimed dependents (EITC or ACTC), begin checking after February 15th due to the PATH Act.

See your personalized refund date as soon as the IRS processes your tax return and approves your refund. See your status starting around 24 hours after you e-file or 4 weeks after you mail a paper return.

PATH stands for the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act.
It’s a law that delays tax refunds for people who claim certain credits to help prevent fraud.

📄 Grab your copy of your tax return (Form 1040)

✅ You ARE on PATH if:
• You see a dollar amount on Line 27 or Line 28

❌ You are NOT on PATH if:
• Both Line 27 AND Line 28 are blank
• You ONLY have an amount on Line 19 and Lines 27 & 28 are blank

📌 Important facts about PATH:
• PATH is NOT about having kids
• PATH is about the credits you qualify for

✔ Kids do NOT automatically put you on PATH
✔ No kids? You can STILL qualify for EIC
✔ Three kids? You can STILL NOT qualify for EIC or ACTC
✔ Some taxpayers ONLY qualify for CTC — and that’s OK
