There are three ways to get an extension until October 15 to file your tax return:
• Pay online and check the box
• Use Free File
• Request an extension by mail using Form 4868

Today is the deadline to file your individual income taxes. If you have forgot and need more time, then be sure to file an extension today. Extension will give you until October 15th to file. Just remember that filing an extension does not extend the time for you to pay the taxes. If you owe, you need to make an extension payment. Otherwise you will have to pay extra fees. It’s tax day, if you forgot, it’s not too late. If you need more time to get your paperwork around, file an extension by the end of the day today. (Extensions do not stop penalties and interest on taxes owed)

I am officially able to do tax returns and submit them electronically!!! I’ve been working toward this moment for several months now!! Indiana took awhile longer to accept than federal. As always!!

So if you want to try someone new for your tax preparation, please contact me. This year, I am trying to be extremely reasonable on prices. I can do this because I have very little overhead. Your return can be prepared virtually. I have secure cloud based software for file exchange. The same system many CPA firms use.
