What is the Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR)?
The Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR) is a new requirement under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) for U.S. businesses. It's designed to increase transparency in business ownership and help combat financial crimes.

Key Points About the BOIR:
Required by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN)
Applies to most U.S. businesses
Deadline for filing is January 1st, 2025
Failure to file can result in penalties of up to $500 per day

2. Is there a cost?
You can file the application yourself for free but if you're not comfortable doing so you can get assistance. The application is 40 pages so there may be fees associatedif you get someone/ company to assist you.
3. Who is eligible?
Those that experienced discrimination by the USDA before 1/01/2021 or current debtors with assumed USDA farm loan debt.
4. What documentation is needed?
If you have a farm number include it with your documentation, valid license, social security card, proof of discrimination or a notarized document if you have a witness. (A complete list of needed documentation is available. You may request the checklist by sending an email to [email protected])
5. Do you have to be African American?
No

You have to be at least 18 years old. Don't believe me call the Program itself at 18007210970 and ask what the age limit is.

2. Is there a fee?

You cam call and get an application yourself and fill it out. If you require assistance from myself or another business owner there is a fee.
