The new deduction allows certain business owners to keep pace with the significant corporate tax cut provided by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

If you are retired or semi retired and plan on working in 2019 while drawing on social security, make sure you know the max earned income you can make before your Social Security Benefits are reduced.

For 2019 if you are 66 and older you can earn $46,920 before your benefits are reduced. If you are 62-65 you can make $17,640 before your partial benefits are reduced.

The Social Security Administration said that the amount of wages subject to the old age, survivors, and disability insurance (OASDI) tax for 2019 will be $132,900, increased from 2018’s maximum of $128,400.
