If you are getting a tax refund you can file taxes anytime no “April 15” deadline!

The April 15 date affects if you will owe the IRS, and if you owe the IRS and you not making payment on that date you will still get charged the late fees penalties, so even if you filed on or before April 15 it’s still a penalty if you don’t pay.
