Home Town Tax

Beverly and Donna are still here at Home Town Tax,
Monday – Friday 8 – 5 pm, for as long as possible.

We are here to help in whatever form we may.
If any of our elderly, disabled, or otherwise vulnerable community members here in Posey County, are in need of any assistance getting groceries, supplies, or medication here locally, Donna and I will be here, and available to pick up and drop off items. Please call the office for any assistance. 812-838-8411

We encourage our community to come together to support each other through this difficult time. Check on your elderly neighbors and friends. Help out families with children at home who may be struggling to keep up: Have pizzas sent to their home for dinner, have groceries delivered, etc. Share what can spare with people who may find themselves in need.

We are here to file returns for those who may have been financially affected by the current pandemic, are expecting a refund, and need to file their income tax returns asap. We are here to ease any concerns or answer any questions you may have regarding the current tax season.

Beverly Emerson and Donna Garcia, here at Home Town Tax, as well as our families, would like to take the time to give a very heart felt THANK YOU to those of you in our community, and all across the world who are continuing to go to work and provide essential products and services to the masses. To the entire medical community, police officers, gas station and grocery store clerks and stockers, food services workers, delivery & transportation drivers, office supply store clerks, bank tellers, pharmaceutical workers, and those out there working the manufacturing jobs to try and get everyone the essentials supplies needed to get through this crisis: YOU ARE ALL OUR HEROES. Home Town Tax

Beverly and Donna are still here at Home Town Tax,
Monday – Friday 8 – 5 pm, for as long as possible.

We ask that if you have any flu like symptoms please do not come into the office.

The filing and payment deadline for all Federal and Indiana tax returns and payments due 4/15/2020 has been extended to 7/15/2020, no extension required.

We have suspended all in-person appointments until further notice, but will continue our tax prep services by drop off or through our electronic options. We encourage our clients to follow the advice of the CDC and other health officials and stay in your homes. If you do get out, or have an immediate need to get your taxes prepared please take advantage of the door slot or the secure mailbox to drop off documents. If documents are too large you may come in or use the box located at the entrance.

Call our office @ 812-838-8411 if you have any questions, concerns, or to get a secure client portal setup for you.
If the office appears crowded (no more than 10 people) please wait outside or in your vehicle for someone to leave before entering.

We are processing things in order of importance (rather than order received) at this current time, so your patience is greatly appreciated!

If you have been adversely affected by the current pandemic, are expecting a tax refund, and need to file your tax returns asap to help financially, please contact the office right away for assistance.

We further encourage our community to band together and help each other. Share what you have with those in need. Check on your elderly neighbors and friends. We are here to help, in whatever fashion is needed, as long as possible.
