Long-term care planning isn't one big decision, but it's a series of smaller ones that add up to real protection.

This checklist is a starting point. If you're not sure where you stand on any of these, that's okay. That's exactly what I'm here for.

Take a look, save this post, and when you're ready to talk through the gaps, send me a message.

Those numbers aren't meant to scare you. They're meant to make sure you're planning with the full picture.

For women who are actively building and managing their financial plans, long-term care is one of the variables that can quietly derail everything else if it's not accounted for retirement timelines, savings strategies, even estate plans.

The good news is that when it's part of your plan from the start, it becomes manageable. If you want to talk through how extended care fits into your overall strategy, send me a message.

If long-term care planning feels overwhelming, you're not alone. Most people don't know where to begin and that's exactly why so many people put it off.

But starting doesn't mean having all the answers. It means asking the right questions.

What would care look like for you? Who would be involved? How would it affect your finances?

These are the conversations worth having now, while you have time to plan thoughtfully. If you want help getting started, send us a message.

May is Older Americans Month and this year, we're focusing on one of the most important (and most overlooked) topics in financial planning: long-term and extended care.

It's not a conversation about worst-case scenarios. It's a conversation about staying in control of your future, on your own terms.

All month long, we'll be sharing information to help you think through what this means for your financial plan. If anything raises a question for you, send me a message — I'm happy to talk it through.

Progress on the new office is moving along - New electrical is being installed, the old flexible ducts have all been removed in the basement, the old coal shed roof has been removed and the door blocked up. The brick mason will be on site soon to do tuckpointing and use the salvaged bricks from the old coal shed to replace damaged ones. HVAC should be installed soon and we are planning out the basement space.

As National Social Security Month comes to a close, one message stands out.

In its article, “Why Social Security Is So Important for Older Women,” AARP highlights how Social Security plays a foundational role in retirement income for many women.

That reality makes early awareness powerful.

For women building their careers, growing their savings, and planning for long-term independence, understanding how Social Security works today helps avoid rushed decisions later.

🌱 Your earning history matters.
🌱 Your timing matters.
🌱 Your strategy matters.
