So here we are, December 1st. I am currently keeping track of the Omicron variant before I announce whether I’ll be seeing clients face to face or if I’ll be having everyone either drop off or email me your stuff. If we end up doing everything electronically this year then as soon as I receive all of your info I’ll be calling you to set up a phone appointment so we can get them done together over the phone.

I’ll announce around Jan. 10, 2022 how I’ve decided to proceed. I hope everyone had a wonderful year and a joyous holiday season and I can’t wait to see/talk to my clients.

Good evening friends,
So my mom have 1 round of chemo and 5 more Proton treatments left. I’m pretty much here at my moms place 24/7. Just wanted to make sure everyone knows that I’m still available for questions and concerns. Also, I’ll be preparing everyone’s returns at my moms this upcoming season. So, with my mom Vanya Tyrrell recently being diagnosed with Stage 3A lung cancer, I have decided to help my mother with both her treatment and assisting her in any way I can with her personal clients, I have decided to move my practice over to her office/house for as long as she needs me. I will have my work computer with me at all times up until about 6pm daily, and I will be maintaining my business line so I am still available by either my personal and business numbers. As everyone knows, the child tax credit increases your federal tax refund. If you do not opt out of receiving the child tax credit in monthly installments then the money you are receiving will be deducted from your federal refund.

Now, depending on your income you may not qualify for the entire credit so it may be in your best interest to take the monthly payments. It all depends on your income.

If you rely on your refund every year then you must go on line and opt out of the monthly payments. If your not sure what would be your your best interest, please feel free to contact me. We will need last years return and your year to date income.

It’s very important that everyone understand that if you do not opt out of receiving the earned income credit in monthly payments then your refund will be lowered by the amount you receive.

Good afternoon Facebook family and friends. Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware that the Covid Relief bill that was signed into law last week also included a provision regarding unemployment benefits received in 2020. The first $10,200 of UC benefits received in 2020 is now considered tax free.

If you’ve already prepared your 2020 tax return and received any unemployment at all, please contact your tax preparer and ask about amending your 2020 tax return depending on certain factors on your original return.
