PSA: A new, EXTREMELY convincing IRS related scam is circulating inboxes nationwide!

Identity Thieves have managed to almost identically replicate The Official IRS Website in an effort to capture sensitive information - including Banking Information & Social Security Numbers - from you, The Taxpayer. They are sending out emails from what appears to be a genuine IRS address, and using "Unclaimed Stimulus Money" as bait. Here's what you need to know:

1) The IRS very RARELY communicates via email.
2) Any communications regarding Stimulus Payments would have occurred via Direct Mail.
3) Do not visit any ".com" site claiming to be a Government Page. All US Government Websites end in ".gov".

If you feel you have been a victim of Identity Fraud, contact the IRS Identity Protection Specialized Unit at 800-908-4490.
