Do you know that in 2024 & 2025 IRS is going paperless!!

For the next two tax season's the IRS will have a new system in place for taxpayers. Taxpayers will have the option to go paperless for IRS correspondence by 2024 filing season. By filing season 2025 the IRS will achieve paperless processing digitizing all paper-filed returns when received. This means all paper will be converted into digital form.

Digitization paper returns will eliminate errors, that result from manually inputting data from paper returns, which will speed up processing, reduce storage costs and allow IRS to focus more resources on Customer Service.

So, make sure to create you an id.me account and an IRS account so that you never miss any correspondence from the IRS.

The IRS gives affected taxpayers until October 16, 2023, to file various individual and business tax returns and to make tax payments. So, if you or if you know of anyone that lives in the following counties or have a business (including tax-exempt organizations), in the covered disaster area. Please pass this message on to them.

Here is the list of the following Counties: Autauga, Barbour, Chambers, Conecuh, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale, Mobile, Morgan, Sumter, & Tallapoosa

AL-2023-01, January 19, 2023 — Victims of severe storms, straight-line winds, and tornadoes beginning January 12, 2023, now have until May 15, 2023, to file various individual and business tax returns and make tax payments, the Internal Revenue Service announced today.
