Phone scam alert! I got home tonight and my son was in a panic. He got a call from someone claiming to be the IRS and saying he was wanted for tax evasion and if he hung up without paying the sheriff's office would be on his doorstep within 3 hours. Luckily I got home and told him to hang up. Everyone please know: the IRS will never initiate phone or email contact with you. If they need to reach you, they will always send you a letter via regular postal mail. Anything other than that it's a scam!

Due to the weather forecast being even worse tomorrow than it is today, we're going to have to postpone the tax school tomorrow. It is rescheduled for Monday & Tuesday from 5 - 9 p.m. still at 2018 Statesville Blvd. in Salisbury.
