Your IRS approved refund and your direct deposit amount are NOT always the same.

Yes thats correct!!

The amount the IRS approves is your full refund.
The amount that hits your bank account is what’s left AFTER any fees, advances, or offsets.

Let’s break it down 👇🏾

✔️ If you did NOT pay your prep fees upfront, your tax preparation fee is taken out of your refund first.

✔️ If you selected a bank product (refund transfer), the bank receives your refund, removes the prep fee, charges their transmission fee, and THEN sends you the remaining balance.

Yes — the bank charges a fee to process it.

✔️ If you took a refund advance, that was a loan. When your refund hits, that advance is automatically repaid first. What you receive is the remaining balance. (They definitely didn’t forget about that advance 😩)

Now let’s talk OFFSETS 👇🏽

If you owe:
• Child support
• Student loans
• State taxes
• Back IRS debt
• Unemployment overpayments

The U.S. Treasury takes what’s owed BEFORE the money ever reaches your bank.

If you paid your prep fees upfront 🙌🏽 you don’t have to worry about bank product deductions.

If you chose to have fees taken from your refund, expect those deductions before deposit.

Be sure to call the offset number, especially if you are self employed and do not pay quarterly taxes the state will come back for their money. It does not matter how long ago its been.

I have a hand full of self employeed clients and I made a promise to them and myself we are no long moving mediocre, we setting up that LLC and EIN, we fixing that credit, we are aligning you up to apply and get approved for business funding.
