Ready or not — it’s January 18, which means it's time to set those tax season gears in motion! 📆💰

We'll need a few things from you before we can work our tax return magic, so keep an eye out for these essential documents in your mailbox or inbox over the next few weeks:

✉️ W-2s and 1099s for all your hard-earned income.

🏡 Mortgage interest statements (Form 1098) if it applies to you.

🧾 Receipts for deductible expenses, like medical bills, charitable donations, and business expenses.

📝 Records of significant life events like marriage, divorce, or new dependents.

Remember the deadline to file your federal income tax return is Monday, April 15, 2024. To dodge last-minute stress, let’s get started as early as possible so we can maximize your deductions and get you all the credits you deserve.

As the holiday season draws near, we wanted to share a friendly reminder: December 31st is the charitable giving tax deadline! 🗓️

If you've got plans to make donations this season, and would like to potentially write them off on your taxes, make sure you do so before the end of the year.

Don't forget: keeping tabs on your donations and large gifts (receipts and all) will help us with your tax deductions for 2023.

Tax season officially started on January 24, 2022. The IRS shuts down their e-filing system at the end of each year to do annual maintenance so the 24th is the first day the IRS is accepting 2021 individual tax returns.
