We’re proud to support the Foodbank of Northwest Indiana with a community food and diaper drive. We're accepting non-cash donations starting now, until November 18th.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we’re collecting nonperishable food items to help local families this holiday season. We’re also accepting diaper donations to support their Diaper Bank.

Many neighbors in our community are forced to choose between clean diapers and putting food on the table. We're seeking to help eliminate that problem for families in The Region.

Donations can be dropped off at our Merrillville office: 300 E 90th Dr, Merrillville, IN 46410.

Thank you for helping us support families across Northwest Indiana!

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act introduced a wide range of tax changes. For families, that can make it tempting to focus on whatever provision is getting the most attention.

A better place to start is with your own financial picture.

Have your income, charitable giving, estate goals, family gifting, or long-term savings plans changed? If so, certain provisions may be more relevant to you than others.

The takeaway: You don’t need to react to every new tax rule. Focus on the changes that connect to the decisions you’re already making.

A large IRA can be a meaningful inheritance, but it may also leave your children with a significant tax bill.
For many beneficiaries other than a spouse, inherited traditional IRA assets may need to be distributed within 10 years, which can create added taxable income during peak earning years. Our latest article explains what families may want to consider before that tax burden is passed on. Read more:

Explore the implications of the New Inheritance Tax on large IRAs and how it affects your children's future inheritance.

Pretzels were tossed. Potatoes were raced. Competition got a little serious. 🥨🥔🍻

MidKoastoberfest brought our team together for an afternoon of good food, games, laughs, and some much-needed time away from our desks.

Between the team potluck, pretzel toss, potato race, and Around the World, there was no shortage of friendly competition.

We put a lot of value on creating opportunities like this because strong teams aren’t built through work alone. They’re built through connection, shared traditions, and having a little fun together.

Prost to another MidKoastoberfest in the books!🍻

For high earners, retirement tax planning is often less about one big decision and more about the timing of income.

The years before required distributions begin may create opportunities to evaluate withdrawals, Roth conversions, investment income, and other taxable income more intentionally.

See below how some easily overlooked tax planning considerations are worth planning for early.

Retirement tax planning should start before retirement.

Tax-deferred accounts can help reduce taxable income today, but withdrawals are generally taxable later.

For high earners, planning ahead can help you better understand how retirement income, Roth conversions, and required distributions may affect your future tax picture.

The takeaway: Don’t just plan how much to save. Plan how those savings may be taxed, too.
