Yesterday we took a road trip upstate to the Westchester County Center. We were exhibitors at the conXpo: The Next Generation. Big thanks to our host the Westchester County, Department of Minority and Women-Owned Business Development.

A big thanks to my team for setting up the table, helping with the marketing materials and speaking to several business owners, not for profit leaders and government agencies.

Tips for exhibitors:

✅ if you are a small business reach out to your local government and see if they host events where you can be an exhibitor, your business may be able to exhibit for free.

✅Give your self plenty of time to get to the event

✅Don’t wait until the night before to get your marketing materials in order

✅After the event feed your team, they have earned it.

✅Follow up on all your new contacts.

✅Sign in sheet

✅Post Expo meeting with your team, on ways for improvement and new ideas for the next event

🌎🤝 Happy to attend the SBA International B2B and Small Business Resource Forum

Events like this are a great reminder that small business owners have access to many valuable resources and organizations committed to helping them grow and succeed. 📈🏢

The U.S. Small Business Administration provides support with lending opportunities 💵, but lenders often require financial statements and tax returns as part of the process — and that’s where my CPA firm can help businesses prepare and present accurate financial information. 📊🧾

It was also great learning more about the support available through organizations such as the LaGuardia Apex Accelerator, which helps businesses pursue government contracting opportunities, and The Legal Aid Society, which assists with business formation services. 🤝⚖️

One of the biggest takeaways from the forum was the reminder that there are also global opportunities available for small businesses willing to grow beyond their local markets. 🌍🚀
