The 2021 Tax deadline for the IRS and NYS are officially postponed to May 17th this year.

If you have questions on what this may mean for you or want assistance on your taxes this year, please let me know!

IR-2021-59, March 17, 2021 — The Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service announced today that the federal income tax filing due date for individuals for the 2020 tax year will be automatically extended from April 15, 2021, to May 17, 2021.

iPhone users! Did you know that you can scan documents right into the notes app on your phone? The app is designed to make clean edges and single or multi-page PDF files which can then be sent to wherever needed.

Additionally, if you are a tax client of mine, this video shows you how to upload those scanned documents right into the SmartVault portal.

The IRS announced that they are open for tax season on Friday, February 12, 2021, when they will begin accepting and processing tax returns.

Although delayed from their normal January opening, you can still get started now! Take a look at my website to see a listing of the documents you should start compiling for your taxes. There's even a new form this year to be on the look out for!
