Hanover Personal Financial Services wants to remind friends and neighbors to help take care of one another and support local businesses. Our kids are out of school for the rest of the year, and non-essential businesses are closed. So, it’s tempting to close ourselves off until things blow over. But we also have an opportunity to step up, make a difference, and really care for one another.
It doesn’t take much for us to talk briefly to our neighbor while standing on the porch or in the yard. How about that elderly couple or widow/widower on the street, on the block, in the cul-de-sac: Do they need anything?
Maybe you can pick up meds for them or add something to your shopping list, so they don’t have to go out. Perhaps there’s a bit extra in your pantry or hall closet that you can share. Really, it doesn’t take much when you think about it. Just a few minutes of our time.
Probably the most important thing we can do is treat each other kindly, to use words of encouragement, to speak life to one another. Don’t let someone think they are all alone, or that no one cares. We should be careful to use our words to build one another up and to encourage and reassure.
Finally, we should think about supporting the small businesses in our neighborhoods. So, Hanover Personal Financial Services humbly asks that you consider using us to file your federal and state income taxes. For a comparable cost to DIY tax software, HPFS will pick up documentation, provide an accurate price quote, process your taxes, and deliver them to you.
