This is Individuals.

For Business the upcoming 2026 filing season (for Tax Year 2025 returns), the IRS is scheduled to begin accepting most business tax returns at 9 a.m. Eastern time on January 13, 2026. However my software for Virginia electronic filing has this form status Approved by Taxing Authority – Work in Process. The next software update the 18th so hopefully I can start getting business returns out.

The IRS expects to receive about 164 million individual income tax returns this year, with most taxpayers filing electronically.
