⭐Breaking News for Pennsylvania Nonprofit Organizations

On October 22, 2026, Governor Josh Shapiro signed Act 104 into law, increasing the annual contribution thresholds that determine when Pennsylvania charitable organizations must obtain an audit, review, or compilation.

Under the new law:
· Audit: $1 million or more in annual contributions
· Review or audit: $500,000 to less than $1 million
· Compilation, review, or audit: $150,000 to less than $500,000

These changes update thresholds that have been in place since 2017 and are intended to reduce financial reporting burdens for certain charitable organizations.

The law takes effect February 19, 2027, 120 days after enactment, with additional considerations regarding its application to reporting periods.
