New change for 1099-Misc and 1099-NEC minimum amount to report.

In the past, 1099-Misc and 1099-NEC were required to make if paid someone over $600 for nonemployee contractor, rent, award, misc income, and certain business transactions.

Starting this year, the minimum is now $2,000 and is indexed for inflation starting next year 2027.

What that means?!
Check this ASL video to learn more about the BIG new change for 1099-Misc and 1099-NEC reporting.

DeafTax noticed many of our clients and callers did not realize the IRS is very STRICT about the tax deduction of meals for businesses. We do taxes for drivers, self-employed business owners, and solo businesses.

This live ASL video explains the IRS rules about which meal expense is deductible and which is not. A lot of our clients tried to claim meal expenses, but DeafTax had to disallow many of their meal expenses because we follow IRS rules and we do not want our clients to be AUDITED! 😟

Watch this video to learn which meal expense is deductible and how to be in compliance. πŸ€“

DeafTax is committed to provide a tax education for the Deaf community because more educated tax clients mean less problem for tax preparation.
We love to make videos for the Deaf community!πŸ˜€
