ᴍᴇᴇᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴇᴏᴘʟᴇ ʙᴇʜɪɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴀɢᴇꜱ!

This week, we’re introducing Ashley Lewis, who serves as the 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 with Books Within Reach.

🏡𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆:
My parents retired here nearly a decade ago, and my husband and I built a home here in 2021. I moved to the area full time around Thanksgiving 2024. I’m also the founder of Fortitude Pilates in Marquez.

💛 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀:
I’m an avid reader and love books, and I think getting in the habit of reading at a young age is super important, especially with the influence of technology.

📖 𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸:
My favorite childhood book was Anne of Green Gables, also loved Little House on the prairie.

🦋𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵:
I hope to inspire as many kids in Leon County to pick up a book instead of a phone by providing easy access to books!

We’re grateful to have Ashley helping us place more stories, more opportunities and more possibilities within reach for Leon County children.
