Who doesn't need an extra 30K!!!!! And YES.. this is real and not a scam.....
Are you self-employed? Do you file a Sch C, F or partnership K-1 on your personal tax return? You could possibly be eligible for up to 32,000 in refundable credits between your 2020 and 2021 income tax returns.
The self-employed sick leave credit is a benefit provided by the federal government to help self-employed individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic. The credit allows eligible self-employed individuals to claim a credit of up to $511 per day, or $5,110 in total, if they were unable to work due to a COVID-19 diagnosis or quarantined for up to 10 days. Also, It will pay you a lower rate of $200 a day for taking off work to care for your child or even another family member that was diagnosed with Covid. It will even pay you if your child was not sick, but quarantined from school because of possible exposure.
To be eligible for the credit, the individual must be self-employed and have either a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis, or be subject to quarantine or isolation by a government order or advice from a healthcare professional. Additionally, the individual must've been unable to work because of the diagnosis or quarantine, and must have no other paid leave available.
The credit can be claimed by self-employed individuals, Sch F farmers, or a member of a partnership(1065) on their federal income tax return. The credit is also refundable, meaning that if the credit exceeds your tax liability(which you've most likely already paid), the individual will receive a refund for the difference. So this is real money, cash.
If you were self-employed and filed a schedule C,F, or a partnership K-1 within your 2020 and or 2021 tax return, you may be eligible to claim this credit.
