Thousands of borrowers trying to get their student loans forgiven through a relatively new buyback process have been forced to wait in a massive backlog of applications. In some cases, borrowers have had to wait for two years or longer as the Education Department slowly works through a huge queue of student loan forgiveness requests. But there are some indications that the process, and the wait, are improving.

Stay NJ property quarterly checks from 2024 property tax rebate are going out this month and are cut in half due to the budget. You have until October to file for 2025. The rules change again for the 2025 benefit year.

Here’s how that will work.

The income cutoff for Stay NJ will be $200,000, down from $500,000.

The overall benefit is changing, too, depending on your income level.

The income cutoffs and overall benefits are lower for many homeowners.
