I'm not saying that we're professional teak restorers, but at this point I feel like we could be if all else failed 🤣 (ignore the toe rail...we'll finish that on the hard next week). After sailing Maverick like the beast that she is from Guatemala, through Belize, Mexico, straight across the Gulf to Louisiana and then to the Bahamas and back, her teak needed some serious TLC. After stripping it all down to the bare wood, we did a lot of research and decided to use a product called Bristol and are amazed with the results! This should give us quite a bit more time than varnish does before we need to do it again 🙏🙏🙏. So now, we're preparing to haul Maverick out for a bottom job before talking off for Key West🌴! A later start than we wanted this season but I'm SO GLAD that we took the time to get our old girl back to her shining glory!
