Lyons community, you are AMAZING, and we thank you for your love and support following the fire last week. Your calls, email and community support mean a lot to me and all of us behind Scope Accounting Solutions. Please know that all client files were digital and safely stored off site and I continue to serve the accounting needs of the Lyons community.
I am diligently searching for a new office location to be available in Lyons for the upcoming year-end bookkeeping and start of tax season – yes, tax season starts in just a few weeks! If anyone knows of some available office or meeting space in Lyons, that could be used temporarily, please let me know. Today is the day to take a picture of your odometer!

If you take a business mileage deduction, you need to know your total miles driven each year as well as your business miles.

The 2020 business mileage rate dropped to 57.5 cents per mile.

It's a gift giving time of year! Remember that if you decide to gift money to a child, grandchild, niece, nephew or anybody else for education expenses; gift tax limitations are removed if the payment is made directly to a qualifying educational institution.
