SENIOR PERSONAL EXEMPTION: For tax years 2025-2028 anyone over 65 will get a new personal exemption of $6,000. This is along with the standard deduction.
An example is: Married standard deduction is $31,500 and if both are over 65, another $12,000. So a married couple over 65 will have a $43,500 deduction from their income. This is the "Social Security" tax deduction
