✨ The Tax Connections – First Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway ✨
Yesterday we held our first ever Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway and it was truly beautiful. We had an amazing turnout and felt so much love from our community. 🧡🦃
A huge thank you to our major donors, the Monsalvo Family, and to all of our additional donors who contributed to this cause. We absolutely could not have done this without you.
I also want to give a big shoutout to my daughter, Vivian Bañuelos, because this entire idea was birthed from her heart. With these difficult times, the government shutdown, and knowing that many families might not have the means for a Thanksgiving meal, she felt it was the perfect time to step in and do something meaningful for our community. Her compassion is what sparked this whole event, and I am so proud of her. 🧡✨
A special thank you as well to Frank, and to a wonderful gal who drove from a distance to pick up a turkey and ham for a neighbor in need. Their kindness reminds us what it truly means to be an extra helping hand for others. 🤝❤️
Originally, we only had one nominee from our first post. But after extending the giveaway into several Facebook groups, the response was overwhelming. The first day alone, four families came by after seeing the post on Facebook. The need in our community is real, and we were grateful to be able to help.
Our originally nominated family received the full Thanksgiving package — a turkey AND a Vallarta Supermarket gift card to buy all their fixings. Every other family received a turkey, a ham, and in most cases, a $50 gift card as well
We hope next year brings an even bigger turnout, and we’re already looking forward to our Christmas Toy Drive coming up next!
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, shared the post, or simply supported from afar. This is what community looks like. This is what love during the holidays feels like. 🎄✨
