Reflecting on the inspiring days at the 2026 CalCPA Members Club Summit in Coronado. The theme, “Charting what’s next. Together.”, could not have been more fitting. Our profession is changing, but the path forward becomes clearer when we listen, learn from one another and move with shared purpose.

I left energized by the connection across generations: seeing both our longtime members engaging with students and emerging professionals to share both wisdom and experience, while bringing fresh ideas and momentum.

Thank you to our members, students, partners, sponsors, speakers, volunteers and the CalCPA team for making this Summit so meaningful.
The future is ours to chart.

For Miklos Ringbauer, MBA, CPA, PMP, all roads lead to accounting. Now he’s CalCPA’s 2026–27 Chair.

An Accounting 101 professor first saw something in Miklos that he had not yet recognized in himself. He chose investment and finance instead, but after more than 12 years, nearly every role pointed him back to accounting. The path became clear when he helped his first client understand they would not have to give up their business. Seeing their relief showed him the difference a CPA could make and confirmed that he had found the right profession.

Today, Miklos is the founder of MiklosCPA - Accounting & Tax Strategy and teaches federal taxation at Orange Coast College. CalCPA became part of his story early, giving him a place to grow, contribute and eventually lead. For more than a decade, he has served at both the local and state levels, including as Los Angeles Chapter president and through local scholarship committees.

His goals as Chair? Make the value of CPAs impossible to overlook and build a clearer path from the classroom to a CPA career. He also wants to bring seasoned CPAs and emerging professionals together to learn from each other as technology reshapes the profession.

Miklos once needed someone to see what he could become. Now he wants the next generation to see what they can become too. Help us congratulate our new Chair. 👏
