💰 Coming in 2027: the Saver's Match!

Starting next year, the federal government will match 50% of the first $2,000 you contribute to an eligible retirement account — up to $1,000 deposited straight into your account.

For married couples filing jointly, the full match is available up to $41,000 in modified adjusted gross income (it phases out above that).

Planning ahead for 2027 📈

The 401(k) contribution limit is expected to rise to $25,500 in 2027 — up $1,000 from 2026 — according to Milliman's final forecast. The IRS will publish the official numbers in the coming weeks.

If you're able, January is the smart time to bump your deferral so the increase spreads across the whole year instead of a few paychecks.

📢 2027 HSA contribution limits are going up!

The new limits for 2027:
• Self-only coverage: $4,500 (up $100 from 2026)
• Family coverage: $9,000 (up $250)

If you're on a high-deductible health plan, open enrollment is the time to set your 2027 HSA contributions so the account is funded right from January 1st.

Medicare Open Enrollment is underway — and there's an important change coming for 2027. 🏥

The annual out-of-pocket cap for Medicare Part D prescription drugs rises to $2,400 in 2027 (up from $2,100 in 2026), and the standard Part D deductible is going up too. That makes this fall's review more important than ever: check your plan's drug list, your pharmacy, and your total costs before the December 7 deadline.
