This , I want to thank Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating (CRAB) President & CEO Paul “Bo” Bollinger for his leadership that has allowed thousands of people with disabilities to experience the joy of sailing in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Bo has been like a steady fifteen knot breeze in the sails of CRAB. He pushes hard and is ever-present, because he knows the healing power of a good day on the water and wants to provide it to the folks who need it most. Not many people could have mobilized the volunteers, raised the money, and built the magnificent 100% ADA-compliant Adaptive Boating Center on Back Creek.
Bo has made CRAB a powerful force for good on the Chesapeake Bay, and his upcoming retirement is a call to the rest of us to nurture it. Thank you, Bo, for increasing recreational opportunities for people with disabilities on the Chesapeake Bay, and for guiding CRAB into the important organization it is today.
