With regard to the debt ceiling, I believe that there will be resolution. However, if you have concerns what should be avoided are companies with large government contact exposure. Safer havens would be in Healthcare, precious metals, utilities and financial lending.

In 2020, the market crashed from 2/12 - 3/23, and rebounded 8/18. I believe that this current decline is not short lived but, we will have a recover ahead. As always please contact me with concerns.

Altria (M0) has announced a projected increase in dividends from 7.5% to 11% by the end of the year. Although the stock has been flat, the dividend stream is very attractive should we face a down market in 2022. Please feel free to share your questions and comments with me.

Gloomy financial forecast ahead? I'm speculating but, consumer prices rose by 5% while the S&P rose 18% YTD. I am of the opinion that the growth pace is not in sync with consumer sentiment. As always please contact us with thoughts or concerns.

Are we moving to a Carter Era Economy?
High inflation, housing costs and employment concerns could soon drag down the market. It is difficult to market time but, I do have concerns regarding the future stabilization of the stock market. We are closing monitoring this economic cycle and will post accordingly.

Is it time for concern? Over the last 5 months, cash flows into the equity markets exceeded that of the previous year. Generally, a sign of a bear market to come. We will be monitoring the dips before we move into a more conservative strategy.
