Our office is closing the doors to the general public for the time being. Please see below for a full statement.
We would like to take a moment to update everyone on the temporary operations that we are putting into place for our office. We have decided to go ahead and begin working remotely in an effort to best protect both our clients and our families. We hope to keep all of us as safe as possible. As of Monday, March 23rd, our office will close its doors to the public as our staff move towards working remotely.
We will still answer phone calls as best we can during our normal business hours and will return phone calls or messages left for us. We will provide online exchanges of information as much as we can so long as it is beneficial to both our clients and our staff. If you "don't do computers" - it's no problem! You will still be able to drop off your information in person through the mail slot in our office door. A staff member will be checking all incoming documents on a daily basis and alerting the appropriate people that they have new information to check out. We will provide envelopes by our door so that we can make sure all of your information stays together and as safe as possible. We do ask that include your name, e-mail, and best phone number to use when we have questions and need to get in touch with you. As a precaution, we will have a member of our staff call you to confirm receipt whenever your information is dropped through the mail slot, just to let you know that we did actually receive it. If you don't hear from us within 2 business days, please call us.
The IRS has already announced that it will be automatically extending both the filing and payment deadlines from April 15th until July 15th. This extension requires NO action on your part or on ours and there is nothing for you to send off, file, sign, etc. If you have already submitted your information to us, we are still planning on doing everything we can to have your returns finished and back to you for e-filing before the original April 15th deadline. You can call us, or simply wait for a call or email from our staff letting you know your return is finalized. We will explain in more detail at that time how our office can electronically send you a copy of your return and request your signature so that we will be able to e-file everything for you without any person-to-person contact.
We thank you for your patience during this hectic and uncertain time. Our plans for the office are flexible and may change at any given time based on the circumstances in our city, state, or country. We will review weekly our decision to remain closed to the public and truly look forward to seeing everyone when it’s deemed safe to do so. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to call or email us and we will do whatever we can to continue helping you get everything squared away.
-From our family to yours-
