IRS just announced that NC now has till September 25th to timely file and pay 2024 taxes. No need to file extensions before May 1st. We have lots more time. In light of this announcement, we will be closed on Saturdays effective immediately. Enjoy Easter weekend celebrating the Resurrection and your families. We will continue extended hours (Monday thru Friday) till April 30th but will start closing at 4 PM again in May and closing on Mondays starts in May as well. Thanks for another successful tax season. We appreciate our loyal clients so much.

Starting January 3rd, Caldwell County residential, rental, and small business property owners impacted by Hurricane Helene, who do not have debris removal insurance, may apply to have qualified disaster debris removed from their property at no cost through the Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) Program. The program also covers the demolition of eligible unsafe structures.

Property owners must apply in-person at the Caldwell County Disaster Resource Center, 2345 Morganton Boulevard, Lenoir. The center will be open Mondays and Fridays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Please have the following documents available when visiting the intake center:
• Most recent tax bill/record
• Valid driver’s license or state-issued ID
• Utility bill (gas, water, or power) from the time of storm
• Homeowner’s Insurance Policy
• Power of attorney or legal documents to give signature authority if you are not the owner.
• For building demolition only: a copy of the warranty deed.

Thank you to all our veterans. Happy Veteran's Day this week. Also, a special thanks to all the Vietnam Veterans. You served your country valiantly just like all other vets but you were so short changed in getting the proper welcome home. Come to the Welcome Home Celebration this Friday at First Baptist Church of Hudson from 1-3 PM. Refreshments will be served and we have some lovely door prizes too. Most of all you will be recognized for your service and sacrifice. God bless our Vietnam Vets!!!

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our long-term employee, Sharon Biddix. She worked with Rena before she bought the practice and continued working with her for about 5 years after she took over the business. She was an excellent accountant and wonderful friend. She returned to work again in 2015 and just retired in August of 2020 when her health prevented her from working any longer. She will be missed greatly. We know Sharon was a devout Christian and take comfort in the knowledge we will see her again one day in heaven. Rest in peace dear, dear friend.

Only 8 days left of tax season. April 18th is fast approaching. We are open today on Easter Monday till 6 PM. If you haven't gotten your 25th anniversary LED flashlight, come on in before they all get gone. We still have our amazing pens and calendars as well. Thanks to our great clients and our wonderful employees and most of all our Lord Jesus Christ, we've had a great tax season. Blessings continue to flow and we are grateful and humble. Maybe we'll be in business another 25 years, who knows?

Finally! IRS will begin accepting 2022 tax returns on January 23rd. We are open till 6 PM Monday-Thursday. Open till 5 on Fridays and here 8-2 on Saturdays. We are ready to file taxes! Drop-off, make an appointment or come by. We are so looking forward to seeing each and every one of our clients. See you soon!
