Reminder: Starting next year, my firm will no longer be taking many low-income returns. This is not personal against anyone, but there has been too much lack of paperwork, missing proof, and poor record keeping.
My company is now moving strictly toward tax planning services, which require more detailed strategies, stronger compliance, and proper year-round documentation. Tax planning works best for higher-income clients or clients who are serious about keeping organized records, bookkeeping, receipts, and proof for everything claimed.
I do not want my company placed in difficult situations trying to help people who are not maintaining honest and complete records. I need clients who are serious, truthful, and willing to keep proper documentation to show the IRS if ever requested.
We are not “creating” money or committing fraud — we are legally using tax planning strategies while maintaining records and compliance throughout the year. That is the difference.
Going forward, my focus will mainly be on clients with higher income levels and clients committed to proper yearly record keeping, tax planning, business growth, and financial education.
