We have a great client base and don't tell you often enough how much we appreciate you. Thank you for your support.

As we're getting ready for the holidays, we wanted to let everyone know we will be closed Friday, December 23 and Monday, December 26 for Christmas. We will also be closed Friday, December 30 and Monday, January 2 for New Years.

It's time to think about year-end (tax-deductible) contributions to your favorite charity. The IRS advises:

"For most taxpayers, Dec. 31 is the last day to take actions that will impact their 2016 tax returns.

For example, charitable contributions are deductible in the year made. Donations charged to a credit card before the end of 2016 count for the 2016 tax year, even if the bill isn’t paid until 2017.

Checks to a charity count for 2016 as long as they are mailed by the last day of the year."

Be sure to mail your contributions NO LATER than December 31. A check dated December 31, but not sent until January 1 (or later) is really a 2017 deduction.
