The maker of consumer brands Tide, Crest, Gillette and Bounty paper towels reported that its profits rose dramatically amid a slowdown in customer spending in the fourth fiscal quarter-ended June 30th. Proctor & Gamble (NYSE:PG) posted a profit of $ 3.63 billion or $1.24 a share.

P&G are reporting an increase in earnings for the second quarter this year. Strong sales and massive cost cutting measure are the main contributors.
