Was reading news this morning and then looking into US vs global oil prices. I have to admit - I’ve always known Brent oil was a more global market and West Texas Intermediate is “US oil.” Brent crude is actually oil from the North Sea - a much cleaner oil that takes less refining, and widely used in Europe. Despite all the news in the Middle East - have you ever seen Dubai crude mentioned in the media? You’ll be “happy” to know that our oil and gas prices are up significantly less than middle eastern oil prices. 🤷‍♂️

One of the local charities we support is the Clovis North Robotics Club - Stable Circuits. I have no connections to them other than my kids went to school there and a friend’s daughter is on the team. I attended a demo night and was very impressed by all the super smart kids putting in a lot of hours. I participated in a lot of math & science clubs growing up and know how little attention and money they get compared to sports and couldn’t resist supporting them!! (They aren’t very active on Facebook, their instagram https://www.instagram.com/frc6305?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== or website https://www.stablecircuits6305.com is a better source to read about them.)

As we shared in our Christmas newsletter, RRS is raising our goals in charitable giving. For 2024, we gave over 1% of gross revenue to charities, with an emphasis on many charities that have impacted our clients. For 2025, we are doubling this goal to 2%, but may go well above that. At a minimum, we plan to give over $20,000 to charity this year, including the following organizations:
